Magic keyboard on Windows 10, No signal.

Hi guys, I've been trying to connect my new magic keyboard to windows 10, with a Bluetooth USB adapter. I tried it with two different adapters, both identify the keyboard but when I click connect it asks me for a pin? Unlike my MacBook, it doesn't provide me with a pin, when I tried it the first time it did but not anymore. It works absolutely fine with my MacBook so I know that the keyboard isn't the issue, and the USB adapters work with other Bluetooth devices like my phone so I don't think it's a hardware issue.

Anyways the main problem is that the keyboard does not work or send a signal to my computer because, even when it did provide me with a pin to type in, I tried and tried but there was no response. Basically, the keyboard does not send signals to the Bluetooth or maybe the Bluetooth isn't able to translate them. Can anyone help, please?

Does the Dell have built-in BT? Some Apple-specific functions may not work with the PC, but a generic keyboard should work.

You will need to install Bootcamp Keyboard drivers on the Dell PC.

As a test, since you have a wired keyboard, un-pair the keyboard from all devices, including the Mac. Try to pair it to PC first. Once it is paired, test. If it works properly, shutdown/sleep/hibernate the PC, and pair it to Mac and test.

If both the PC and Mac are on, at the same time, and BT is enabled on both, then whichever computer links first is the winner, but the keyboard can randomly disappear and come back and it is not advisable to have both the PC and Mac running BT at the same time.

Yes, but I am not using it on a MAC, I'm trying to use it with my PC. Which has windows 10. The PC wasn't a boot camp it was an original dell pc. I hope I'm still able to receive help. I have a full apple keyboard which is wired and I use that all the time on the same PC, so I decided to update by buying a wireless.

So perhaps it could be a driver issue?

Dell does not have a built-in BT, the keyboard obviously works with the mac so there is absolutely no issue there. The issue is when I try to pair it with the PC, it does not respond, the green light is flashing and it shows up on the screen, and when asked for the pin, I type in 0000 and it does not work.

I also downloaded and installed the latest boot camp drivers, but I'm unsure if they did anything since the page (https://support.apple.com/en_US/downloads/bootcamp) the most recent one shows that it supports vista, windows 8 and 8.1, but windows 10 is not listed.
