Add shortcut for Contacts app to home screen

My wife just got an iPhone 7. There is no shortcut on the home screen for the "Contacts" app. I know this is simple, but how do you add a shortcut to the Contacts app to the home screen (not a specific contact, just the Contacts app)?

I've seen lots of web tips on how to make shortcuts for specific Contacts or web pages, but not for the app itself.

iPhone home screens don't have shortcuts. There is, however, a separate, included app called "Contacts". Look for a folder titled, I believe, "Extras". Tap on the folder to open. Touch the icon for Contacts lightly until it starts to wiggle. Drag it to wherever you would like.

If the folder's not called "Extras", look for something like "Utilities".
