Maps keeps crashing on iOS 11

NOt sure but have you tried to force quit the map app? Double tap the home button, flick the preview for maps off the screen. THen single tap the home button to exit the mode. Then try the maps again.

After struggling myself I believe I have solved the streetview iOS crashing issue. If you have multiple google accounts running on your device it creates a conflict. Google were unhelpful but after persisting I decided to a) log on to each account, remove associated emails from the account (email addresses you can use to acccess the same account). You can leave a recovery email address, that’s fine. If you have another account with separate credentials then do the same, just leaving the registered email and recovery email address. It is better if these don’t cross, I.e don’t use the a registered one for recovery in a second account. I then cleared my browser history, reinstalled the app out of precautions and it works every time.

Not sure if this helps. I once had this problem after an update. So I wiped clean and restored again. Problem went away. That was years ago

Hi there had the same problem but with the letter O if you type in the address without the first letter and then add that in last it doesn’t shut down, not a fix but a work around

I've force quit the app. I've restarted my phone. I've done everything short of wiping it and starting from scratch.

I have the same issue on iphone X 11.1 since November 2017 I have escalated to a product specialist who said " ...certainly appears there is something we need to fix up. " No news since then. A friend said Waze works.

I have gone back to my iphone 7 and will sell the iphone X. The IOS 11 is the worst! It's exceptionally disappointing that they can launch this device with neither google maps or apple maps working. Interestingly there are no technology articles about this issue, very curious.

Is it about Apple maps of Google maps? Because Google Maps SDK for iOS is also crashing in iOS 11.

This was restricted to my iPad, iPhone was fine. I don’t know what I did but it resolved itself by the next morning and works fine now. I didn’t Have great internet at the time, I did turn off WiFi for a bit, maybe something related to that. It works with WiFi and cellular now, no crashes since

On iphone x maps crashes everytime I type a W or M as the first letter in the search for a place or address bar.

Running latest IOS 11.2.5 and have tried deleting then reinstaling the maps app, also tried a hard device reset but issue is still present.

Do not see this issue on iphone 6s, 7, 8 and appears to be limitted to iphone x. Please fix.

I haven't installed it yet but I've spoken to other users and they're not having an issue.

I think it has something to do with Location Services. When I try to toggle some of those settings on/off it hangs.

iPad mini 4. Same crash on map open. Rebooted, closed maps, removed maps and reinstalled, still happening. Works fine on iPhone.
