Just installed iOS 11. When I swipe up to the command Center there is an apple music icon. However, as soon as you click on it it reverts to my directtv now app. It does not allow me to play music through the command center. Directtv now app does not show as being engaged through the command center settings

it usually plays the last audio. Go to your music - play a song, exit out of the app and then open control center and see if will continue where you left off.
