Despite the flash message, Ropen hasn't used the flash. That's why Ropen described the problem and included the screen shot. I am having the same issue with the rear camera not working and I too saw that flash message after the flash wasn't even used. This happened after I upgraded to iOS 10.

Even using the flash as a stand alone flashlight stopped working, I went to apple yesterday and got a run around for them trying to fix it along even though I have apple care, I will try to do it in a couple of minutes and see how far I get going to another store.

The phone is saying that it is too hot to do what you want it to do, wait till it cools down and try again.
