FaceTime Live Photos

Spent over half an hour with Apple advisor on chat and went through several trouble shooting steps only to be told in the end: "I was looking for other troubleshooting steps or updates on this issue, however it seems like our engineering team is still working on it and it’s currently under investigation. If after these troubleshooting steps we performed, the issue persists, we’ll need to wait for an update to solve this problem."

Apparently there is no estimated date for when the issue will be resolved. We just have to wait until they push an update that fixes the problem :\

Just an update. In another ft conversation I tried to take a couple and they didn’t work. Tried another one same video about 20 min later and 1 of them worked. Tried a few more about 10 min later and they didn’t save again. Frustrating wish they would fix this.

I figured it out!!! I went to:

Settings>FaceTime>FaceTime Live Photo>tap on, then off and then back on again

My FaceTime Live photos I had taken before doing this didn’t save but once i turned it on, off and then back on again I tested it and it worked. Hope this helps!! :)

Take a FaceTime Live Photo. To save a moment of your call, tap (make sure FaceTime Live Photos is turned on in Settings > FaceTime). The camera captures what happens just before and after you take the photo, including the audio, so you can see and hear it later just the way it happened. The photo is added to the Camera Roll album or, if you use iCloud Photo Library, in the All Photos album in the Photos app. See Take photos.

Use your iOS device to check its storage

Go to Settings > General > [Device] Storage. You might see a list of recommendations for optimizing your device's storage, followed by a list of installed apps and the amount of storage each one uses. Tap an app's name for more information about its storage. Cached data and temporary data might not be counted as usage.

I have the same issue with one device but not another. Apple needs to address this. Is Apple tracking this? How do we get Apple to acknowledge this bug?

This doesn’t work I took some last night and none of them show up

My live pics that I take while on facetime they do save BUT, they only appears in the camera roll after a while

(a long while about 24ish hours later).

I live in Brazil, and my boyfriend is British and lives in England and he’s having the same issue.

Mine aren’t saved anywhere either and I have storage. I even PAY extra for storage. Where are the FaceTime Live Photo’s?! Lol

I’m having the same issue. My FaceTime live photos aren’t saving anywhere. It shows I’ve taken a photo but doesn’t save to my camera roll.

Obviously there’s an issue if multiple people are having the same problem. There needs to be a fix. How can you help me get this fixed?
