iOS 11 - Screen brightness to dark on iPad Pro 10.5

Hello,

I own an iPad Pro 10.5 and updated it last night to iOS11.

Since the update, the maximum screen brighness is much lower than before and even after manually setting it to highest possible level, the brightness is too low for comfortable working and reading.

I tried w/o success the following:

1. Disabling TrueTone

2. Disabling NightShift

3. Switch iPad off (via dialoge/slide) and restart

4. Reboot iPad (Home + Power long pressed until reboot)

Anyone an idea whether there is a fix for it?

Thanks!

Thank you Diana, this - indirectly - solved my problem!

  • Auto Brightness was "ON" as before. However, it didn't cause the problem.
  • Triggered by your suggestion, I then also played with the Setting for "Reduce White Point". By switching "Reduce White Piont" OFF, I regained the full screen brightness.

This can only be a temporary work-around of course, since it makes the Reduce White Point feature useless. Instead of only reducing bright colours, it overall decreases screen brightness. I hope for a fix by Apple.

Note: I was able to reproduce this behaviour now also on iPhone 6S.
