Change Audio Source on Phone when using CarPlay

How do you change the audio source back to the vehicle?

Scenario: I receive a call via CarPlay. I get out of my car and transfer the audio to my iPhone 7. Next morning I go to play Spotify or any other music via CarPlay the audio is not playing through my vehicle.

The only way I have been able to figure this out is through re-pairing my phone. I know there has to be a simpler way.

Hi mcliffordgoo,

I understand that you'd like to switch your audio output from your iPhone's speaker to your car's audio system without having to repair the two. Fortunately this can be done as detailed in the iPhone User Guide:

Switch audio output between a connected Bluetooth device and iPhone. Swipe down from the top edge to reveal the Lock screen, or simply wake iPhone, then tap and choose your audio output. Output returns to iPhone if the Bluetooth device moves out of range.
