Friends feature left out of ios11 version of Apple Music?

Hey there. I’ve been enjoying the friends feature on Apple Music since the latest release of iTunes last week, and it was the first thing I looked for on my iPhone after installing iOS 11. Was it left out of 11.0 for some reason?

All blogs and news sites still mention the feature, and it’s visible in the screenshots for Apple Music in the App Store...so I’m assuming this is a unique problem (lucky me). I know where to look (For You, tap on profile in the upper right), so if it is there, my version doesn’t have it. I’ve restarted my phone and I’ve deleted and reinstalled Apple Music, to no avail.

SOLVED. To anyone else having this issue: go into settings > general > restrictions > Apple Music and make sure Connect is toggled on.

I am having the same issue with two of my Family Sharing Accounts. It seems to be more account specific, as your solution doesn't apply to since restrictions are not enabled on my devices. Can you confirm that you, in fact, had restrictions Enabled? 3 of my 5 Family Sharing accounts worked perfectly, the remaining two do not show the social friends related feature. Only social features they show are the old ones that allow following artists, not setting up a profile for sharing with friends.
