iOS 11 Reminders not showing overdue reminders

Found the solution:

1. Turn off reminders in iCloud

2. Delete local data when prompted

3. Launch reminders app to make sure the data is cleared

4. Then reminders back on in iCloud settings.

This worked for me, hopefully it does for you as well! Good luck!

Turning reminders off in iCloud for the affected iPhone and deleting local data, then turning back on in iCloud worked for me too. Thank you!

My iPhone 7+ had this same issue, until I "rebooted" my reminders.

Remove Reminders from iCloud (delete from phone)

Flip the switch back to put Reminders back on iCloud.

This is definitely a bug. I didn’t have this on iOS 11 with my 7 Plus, but I now have it with my iPhone X. You can force the reminders to show back up by changing the alarm time, but they’ll be hidden again the next day. I created a video and submitted it to Apple via the feedback app so hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Same issue here running iOS 11.1.2 on iPhone X. This issue has come up on and off over the past few years, however it would correct itself after midnight. Unfortunately this issue is stuck and only disabling and enabling iCloud settings fixes it for one day. I have tried numerous tricks and settings to try and find the source to no avail. Fortunately I am using Fantastical 2 for iPhone and that doesn't have this issue, and lets me see the schedule view. I have too many lists to have to go through the enable/disable and reorder procedure everyday. I hope Apple fixes this, as it is an app that some people like myself rely on heavily, and prefer to use the native experience that comes with it. For anyone that needs a workaround, Fantastical is the only suggestion I can offer. It brings natural language entry and a bunch of other cool tricks to create and manage Reminders with full iCloud sync support as well.

Public beta for 11.3 appears to have fixed this issue (for me at least).

It works on your Apple Watch 3? Because it doesn’t work on mine. I deleted the reminder, also deleted from my iCloud account then download it again, then Bingo! It works. But it still doesn’t work on my Apple Watch 3.

When I go to Scheduled on Reminders it shows two overdue items under Today.

In Settings check Reminders and see if your sync includes enough time to include enough time that all of your overdue items would be included.

This is only a temporary solution. The problem re-occurrs every day if there are “overdue” tasks. They will not show the next day in the scheduled view.

I am actually working with Apple right now, they’ve taken all of the diagnostic information from my iPhone X, and they confirmed that they can see the issue and they’re working on a fix. I just recieved an email this morning with this info. Hopefully a real fix comes via iOS update soon!

There was a time or two that I had an issue with reminders not working properly on my watch... Re-Synicng solved that problem.

This is a very critical usability problem for reminder users. We cannot do this turn-off turn-on in iCloud every time we want past due reminders to show...we definitely need Apple to show past due reminders in the scheduled view just like it did in previous versions. I am using iPhoneX

Same here, but reminders not showing properly only on iPhone X. Overdue reminders show on my Watch Series 2 reminders app and iPad Pro 12.9 (2017) correctly. I’m also running the latest 11.2 beta build so it doesn’t look like it’ll be fixed in the next public release either.

Is there ANYTHING different on either phone? Specifically, do you have any google accounts, exchange accounts, etc. that exist on one phone but not the other? I asked Apple this week for a timeframe on the fix, but the advisor, Justin, said that no time frame exists on a fix.
