iPad 1 not responding, screen with distorted image

Hello Apple,

I have Apple Ipad 1 which i bought in 2010, the Model number is A1337.
My ipad is not responding, the screen switches on with distorted lines. Please find the attachment. Please note that there is no physical damage to the ipad.

I faced the same issue yesterday, however i tried restoring the ipad using itunes it worked yesterday and i was able to use the ipad.
However again today faced the same issue of distorted lines on the screen.I carried out the same steps but it did not respond. I did hard reset by pressing and holding the sleep and home button but there is no improvment, i still see the same lines.

Please guide.

Hello Ajay,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are unable to get your iPad to turn on and work again as expected. If you haven't already, please use iTunes on your Mac or PC to backup and restore your iOS software to factory settings, as this process erases the information and settings on your device and installs a fresh copy of the latest iOS software. Temporarily setup your phone as new to test your issues, and then restore your backup and test the issues again.

Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to factory settings
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup

If that doesn't resolve your issue, your next step is to go to your local Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider in your area.
