boot camp fails windows 7

I'm running Snow Leopard (10.6.8) on my iMac 27 (10.1, late 2009), 12 gigs memory. Start up Boot Camp, invites me to download Windows support software, click OK, and all I get is "...not available...." So I proceed anyways, BC sets up a 100gig partition, then invites me to install my authentic Windows 7. It then appears to slip into restart mode, wakes up to a white screen and does absolutely nothing. I let it sit there for 1/2 hour with the Win 7 disk in the internal DVD drive. Thoughts of others?

BC drivers are available from the first link, downloadable to a USB2 flash drive.

The second link should sort out the black/white screen issue, which occurs due to the lack of the correct AMD GPU drivers.
