Numbers is automatically formatting my cells

Whats happening is that I have a cell that is a currency and I am dividing it by a number to get a percentage. It's giving me the percentage as currency but won't let me format it back to percentage. I've switched it to auto and off and back again and then number then percentage and it would change it back to currency then I would change it to number. It was all fine and dandy yesterday I don't know if I edited something wrong or if the update has something to due with this, but I'm getting pretty annoyed with it.

Any help would/will be appreciated 🙂

Yeah I'm not too worried about the lack of backups - I travel for a living (airline pilot) so unless I'm away from home for more than 3-4 days the backups don't go with me. In a pinch I can grab a file from Backblaze and if I suffer a complete hardware failure of the laptop I can get by with the company iPad or my phone until I return.

I just don't want to waste time installing/uninstalling if the formatting issue is still there. But based on your comments I'll just move 4.2 to another directory and rename it and run the update and try it on a duplicate spreadsheet.
