Why isnt app store letting me update and change my email

I changed my email and iCloud password and email but the app store hasnt changed so when i went to download an app its telling me to put in my old email password

The "old email" was a different Apple account, so the apps purchased under that Apple account are forever tied to it. You either have to supply the password for that other Apple account, or you will have to delete the apps and re-purchase them, or re-download them if they were free while your new Apple account is signed in.
