iOS 11 Cantonese Dictation

For **** sake, took me ages to figure this out. I hate it also. 1) When using dictation, click and hold the ‘world’ icon on the bottm left, 2) Go to dictation settings and 3) select cantonese and should be available, 4) you may remove Mandarin for easier use. Cheers that I’m switching back to other smartphone devices very soon. NO OFFENSE, PERSONAL PREFERENCE : Apple is getting more garbage

Also hitting the keyboard after you’re done with the dictation a text also takes an extra second or two then it minimizes the message you dictated then it comes back at full view. The change has made text messaging painstakingly aggravating or something as simple as a tax should be easy I don’t know why anyone changed this whole platform from what it was before

Go to settings - general - keyboard - dictation - check Cantonese

I have the same trouble too and I hope Apple is not phasing out Cantonese thinking that it is no longer relevant. I feel very angry about it actually.

try going general - keyboards- Dictation Language - Cantonese ,

What you can do is, go to settings, go to General, go to keyboard, go to dictation languages, choose Cantonese, China I Cantonese, Hong Kong

For some reason the dictation keyboard keeps automatically changes back to mandarin.
