how to choose an exact location to save files on the hard drive of my MacBook Pro

Hi,

There are many folders on my hard drive like documents, downloads and pictures etc. Then I have created many subfolders under each, and then many subfolder under each subfolder as well.

When I try to save a file, my MacBook Pro allows me to choose a main folder like documents, downloads etc and some times I succeed in selecting on subfolder to save my file. However I do not know the way to select a subfolder of my choice. I am very comfortable in doing that on a PC but still struggling with the Mac.

Regards,

The following may be related to the problem you are having. If your file save dialog looks something like the following with very limited choices, click the down arrow (which the red arrow is pointing to in my screenshot below):

User uploaded file

and then you will have a dialog that looks more like a standard Finder window and you can navigate to where you want to save:

User uploaded file
