No - the built-in apps on Apple Watch (any model, including first generation, Series 1, Series 2 and Series 3) do not currently include sleep tracking features.


Various third-party apps offer sleep tracking features, some requiring a third-party accessory.

Any app that matches what I got now with my Fitbit charge2 which is auto sleep detection and sleep stages (awake, restless, REM and deep sleep)? My Fitbit is pretty accurate tracking when I start and end my sleep without me setting up anything.


I have the original Apple watch and have been waiting for an app that can replace my Fitbit in terms of sleep.
