I dont know why but the command key is not working for selecting multiple files or folders only. Using Command + z, s, c, v, etc were working without any issues. Any idea why? Btw, Im using Corsair K95.
Also, when I command+click, it also not working.

Did you try the Command key on the other side of the keyboard.
Did you look at Keyboard Viewer to see the key go dark when you press it?
as I understand it:
The shift key is used to select a range... from the first item you select to the next item you select, Inclusive.
The command key is used to add the next item you click on directly to the set of selected items, and no intervening items are included (unless you click on them individually).
But I am thinking of List view, and it may be different for folder view.
Are you sure? Im using cmd key to select multiple files or folders and I've been doing this for 3 years. There is no differences between shift and cmd key since shift key does not select all files between two files or folders.

I tried but not working on specific features.
I also tried keyboard viewer and the key goes dark when I press it. But it doesnt work for Cmd+click and more.
I would unplug the keyboard and gently vacuum-clean it (beneath the Command key in particular).
And yes, Klaus1 is right, if only partially, I think: Shift Key enables multiple choices of files and folders ON THE DESKTOP.
