load error when connecting to car (Hyundai i30)

Since installing iOS11, if after connecting my iPod to my Hyundai i30, I switch off the ignition I just get "Load error" when I switch the ignition back on. I have tried disconnecting and re-connecting the iPod but it still won't load. The only way to get it to connect again is by rebooting the iPod. Any ideas???
