How do I retain animations in export and how do I export the embedded video?

I'm creating an app prototype in Keynote because I've read so many good things about it.

However, now that I'm near the finish line I'm realising some limitations. Here are the two biggest for me:

Not all animations are not preserved in HTML.
Animations don't work at all in PDF (duh) - so why is the most recommended export format?
Embedded video and audio don't play when exported to HTML or PDF.

I also read somewhere that a clickable Quicktime format could be exported? I've not found that among the options...

I can't find any solutions to my issues. Can you gurus help me by pointing me in the right direction?

Most developers I know use Keynote itself as the end product to demonstrate all the features they have prepared in their prototype, not third party applications. Why are you not doing that?

HTML is used for simple medium quality resolution presentations

PDF is used for high quality resolution files if the priority is compatibility with most operating systems; Mac Windows Linux

Adobe Professional is the application to use to add comprehensive effects to PDF files.

Manual advance of Quicktime is not available in the current versions of Keynote

From my research, I interpreted the articles promoting Keynote as a prototype tool as suggesting it was also good actual "testing" by potential users. Reading your first sentence has made me realise that maybe it is only good for the purpose you suggest.

As for "why I'm not doing that", like I say, I read all these positive articles about Keynote and assumed.

I think, therefore I may have to walk users through the app myself, in order to get the videos working.
