Lockscreen and Password Input Not Showing iOS 11

I recently updated to iOS 11 and now I can’t see anything on my lock screen. It’s completely blank, and only shows my wallpaper. Touch ID still works most the time, but when it doesn’t I have to press the hole button and guess where the numbers to my password are. I keep getting locked out because I can’t see where I’m typing my code!

Beyond annoyed, how do bugs like these even get pass quality control.

Hello dannyphillips,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that the lock screen on your iPhone appears blank, showing only your wallpaper. I can surely see how this could be concerning. I'm happy to help.

If you haven't already, restart your iPhone. Restarting can resolve many unexpected behaviors.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the issue persists, reinstall iOS with iTunes. This can resolve possible software issues. When reinstalling iOS, iTunes will completely remove your current software and install a fresh version. While iTunes will try to do this without removing data, it's a good idea to make sure you have a recent backup before trying this step.
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Use the steps in the link below to reinstall iOS with iTunes:

Have a great day!
