Blocking middle-of-night stand reminders?

The activity app is very helpful in reminding me to stand every hour while I am working at my desk.

Unfortunately, it sometimes will wake me in the middle of the night with a reminder. It seems like this happens when I have had a restless night, finally get back to sleep, and an hour later it bugs me to stand. This is extremely annoying and as a result I have turned off the reminder completely.

Is there any way to tell the app to leave me alone between 10PM and 9 AM?

Hi

To prevent notification alerts on your Apple Watch from disturbing you, but to still receive audible alerts for alarms and timers, turn on Do Not Disturb:

On your Apple Watch: when viewing the time, swipe up on the watch face to open Control Centre > tap the Do Not Disturb button (crescent moon icon) to toggle the mode on and off.

Your Apple Watch and iPhone can also be configured such that enabling Do Not Disturb mode on one device also enables it on the other. This also applies to scheduled operation of the mode on your iPhone - which you may wish to set for a nightly schedule, covering the hours when you are usually sleeping:

  • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > Do Not Disturb - turn on Mirror iPhone.
  • On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Do Not Disturb - turn on Scheduled and set your preferred times.

It is not otherwise possible to limit Stand reminders to a specific time window.
