Since I upgraded to OS11 my iPhone 6 keeps disconnecting from the Bluetooth in my car, a Mazda 6 2015 vintage. To reconnect I have to select the phone on my cars infotainment unit and off it goes working for a while longer until it again disconnects mid song. This didn’t occur prior to OS11, any ideas?
I had the same problem with my VW Sharan and it‘s „professional“ hands-free. I tried every update after 11.0. Apple support was not helpful at all, essentially suggesting I look for firmware updates for the car. As if the car hadn’t been working just fine until iOS 11 came along.
Anyway, after upgrading the phone to 11.2.1, I have not had any more disconnects. Knocking on wood that it stays that way...
Renaming did not work for me
Not a problem when streaming problem when talking on the phone over BT connected to the car. Connection is lost for 20 seconds than automatically reconnect.
Can anyone report whether this has improved in iOS 11.1 B*ta 5?

after installed ios 11.1 official, i dont have this issue anymore, my sony bluetooth speakers are all fine by now. i've tested for 30 mins and nothing happened, everything is fine IMO.
Hi, I installed 11.1 and it fixed the issues so far.. although, I didn’t see the fix in the release notes
Same thing for me 11.1 fixed the issue spent 40 minutes on the phone (multiple calls) today without disconnect!
I agree with you. If Apple keeps this up, I will easily move over to Android!
11.1 fixed my problem with the bluetooth disconnects between my iPhone 7 and Sony SRS-XB2 speakers.
Not fixed for me on iOS 11.1. Had a disconnect from my Creative speakers after one minute of Spotify (iPhone 6S Plus).
In fact, because I'm a glutton for punishment, I kept trying - and I have had four disconnects in the last 15 minutes.
For me either. It still happens that iP is disconnected from BT of car with iOS 11.1

Yeah, it is still happening I take my previous comment back unfortunately.
Updated to 11.1 and now tested, not fixed...back to Apple support. Car hands free worked fine for first 30 mins, but now is back disconnecting/connecting.
11.1 fixed the issue on my 2013 Ford Mustang Sync. So nice to have it working again.
