iphone 8 stuck in recover mode

I tried to set up my new iPhone 8, while doing so I download the ios 11 updated on my iPhone 6 so I could do the quick start. I turned the iPhone 8 back and all it would do is light up with apple logo and go black and continue to this. so I tried to restore and update. Now my iPhone 8 is stuck in recovery mode.

Mine was also stuck, tried restarts on phone several times, kept getting error codes. I realized the USB kept disconnecting while I was trying to update. I have an Apple battery on my phone, so, as a last ditch attempt, pulled the phone out of the battery pack and tried once more to update. Bam!!! Problem solved! It seems that with the battery plugged in to the phone, ITunes is trying to charge the pack and read/write to the phone. When it cuts the charge, it also disconnects the phone, thus generating the constant errors during update. Update finally completed and I have IoS 11.1 installed now!! Hope this helps some out......

Hi

Turn iPhone off Make sure your pc is running the latest iTunes 12.7

Connect lead to USB on your pc

Press & hold just the power button down on iPhone don't let go

Connect lead to iPhone keep power button pressed down until pc sees iPhone Then wait for restore you may need to do this more than once Before it works.

Cheers
