Hello!

I just recieved long-waited iphone 8 plus.

Unlike the reviews i’ve seen, there is some text on the back of my phone. “Designed by Apple in California, Assembled in China”. Is this defect?

That is normal. It isn't shown in some advertisements and documents because the wording can vary by country due to local legal requirements.
