Slideshow keeps crashing out

Hey, I use the Photo Slideshow a lot. Recently, as soon as I start the slideshow, the screen keeps going back to the Home screen. I’ve tried deleting some pictures in case there‘s a limit to the number of pic but no success.

I have an iPad Air. IOS11. Was the same issue on IOS 10.x

Anyone know why and what I can do Please?

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.

I see that after starting a Slideshow in the Photos app, the screen keeps going back to the Home screen. It's important to make sure that you can play a Slideshow on your iPad Air without any issues, so I'll be happy to provide some support.

It sounds like the Photos app may not be responding like it should, so I suggest closing the Photos app and restarting your iPhone.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I’ve tried restarting my iPad but the same problem persists - on starting slideshow it immediately goes back to the home screen. Any suggestions?
