I dropped my phone in the toilet but it seems fine. How can I tell for sure?

If the phone got dropped in water, it touch water.

While the LDI turning red is one indicator of water damage, it is possible to do damage and not have it turn colors (and vice versa).

It is a good sign that it is working, it takes some water to damage the iPhone 6s.

What you can do is to use a hair dryer or put it in rice. Both methods absorb any water left to be sure.

I hope this helps.

Plan to get an out of warranty replacement soon. It may seem fine now but water and electronics don’t mix well. Your phone will die at some point.

Ideally, you should leave the phone off, in a warm, dry place for a couple of days, at the very least. Turning it on or charging it accelerates any damage. But, apparently, that ship has sailed. Do NOT use a hair dryer on wet electronics. You are simply forcing the water deeper inside.

As kb1951 indicates, you should start saving for the new iPhone now. Water damage tends to be progressive.
