when you update your phone you have to sign in with ur Apple ID which I did and then it says u have to approve it with another phone iPad Mac etc that has the same iCloud and my computer does but I have no clue how to approve it.

I was having the same issue and finally figured it out!
Go on your mac and do the following:
1. Click "Settings"
2. Click "iCloud"
3. Once in iCloud section scroll down to "Keychain"
4. It should say "Your iPhone" (whatever you named your iPhone) requested approval, click "approve"
5. Check your phone and you should be all set.

I have the same issue. When you say Go on your mac to settings, I'm lost. I'm on a mac air, there is no 'settings'. I tried to follow your steps in icloud incase that's what you mean, but no keychain option. Hope you can help, I'm getting this 'approve this iphone' 24/7 non stop and it's driving me nuts.
