Apple TV 4K Recovery

Since the Apple TV 4K has no USB-C port to connect to iTunes to restore the firmware in recovery mode, there is a single point of failure. If the Apple TV 4K is unplugged or loses power while updating the firmware, it could get stuck with a yellow alert icon and would require service. If I do a reset and update it will redownload the latest firmware and then reset to factory settings, any interruptions while the update is in progress would render Apple TV 4K unusable. There is a warning not to unplug the Apple TV while the firmware update is in progress. Would the Apple TV 4K need to be repaired or replaced if the firmware update is interrupted? Does Apple have proprietary tools not available to the general public needed to restore the bricked Apple TV 4K? It's possible that the Apple Store might not be able to restore the Apple TV 4K and might have to send it back to the service center which could take days.
