New screenshot ios11 not working

Updating to iOS 11.2.1has fixes the problem for me.

I put iPhone into recovery mode, connect to iTunes, and update to iOS 11.2.1 again. And issues fixed

I was having a similar problem with screenshots - they would appear OK, but then I'd just get a blank picture when I tried to save it or send it via text. I have iClould photo library turned on... but it seems to work after switching from "Optimize iPhone Storage" to download and keep originals. May use more phone storage, but when I tested it seemed to work fine.

Same issue with my 6S Plus. Reset was useless. Discovered by accident that having phone on Battery Saver ( Settings>Battery>select on or off ) was the problem. Select Saver “OFF” and try again. Perhaps there are other settings that block screen shot.

It has become obvious to me, having read all the comments/replies, that this is a bug that Apple must fix. Many of us have the same problem: the feature works, but the option disappears, unless one restarts the device [or buys a new device! or upgrades the OS and restarts]. Too bad, great feature. Doesn't anyone at Apple monitor this forum?

Hi. As a workaround, you can open Photos and edit the screenshot in the Screenshots album.

i get the same, rebooting fixes it for 2-3 screenshots then it happens again.

Most people don't have this problem. That tends to indicate that it is not a bug in the system software but rather something to do with the configuration of the individual phones. And that can be very hard to troubleshoot.

And restart iPhone will fix it temporary. After restart, if just take screenshot it work, until I save it to camera roll, the screen preview give again.

When I turn my phone on, it's performing as expected - screenshot shows up in the corner, and I can then mark it up and share it. It only works for the first two times or so.

However, when I share a marked up screenshot, it doesn't actually share the image - only the markups. What the heck? Circle, arrow, smiley face, but no image behind it.
