Tap Settings > Safari
Under "Search" turn off "Safari Suggestions".
Turn off "Search Engine Suggestions", if you like to.
It has shown up less frequently, but I have noticed that it has two characteristics: when you click the address bar it has to do with the content of the page (i.e. CNN pulls up Donald Trump/ Kim Jon Un, a page about video games Tomb Raider); and it appears after a few scrolls, almost as if it has learning mechanisims.
I think it is a glitch but it might be usefull to take a look.
Thanks for the sugestion but it still appears, this is the options I am using.
Have you checked your Favorites?
Yes, the suggestions are not from my favorites, bookmarks, reading list or history. It looks like it apears when browsing a web page with videos.
