Apple Watch says connected but no notifications or data going through

Tried restarting, airplane mode, the watch says it is connected (Green phone icon). But No data of any sort is going through. No weather data, changes on Watch app does not affect Apple Watch, no notifications of any kind.

Updated to Watch OS4, Apple Watch Series 1, iOS 11 on iPhone 7 Plus, MacOS High Sierra (Not really related to MacBook Pro anyways)

It worked after updated for days. I put down the watch for two days (charged) and now It's not working at all. What the?!

Apple Watch, watchOS 4

Hi

If your Apple Watch and iPhone are not syncing data as expected, then follow the steps here, if necessary including unpairing and re-pairing your Apple Watch:

If your Apple Watch isn't connected or paired with your iPhone - Apple Support

Keep in mind that how notifications behave depends on the status of your devices and your settings. With Wrist Detection enabled, in order to bring notifications to your attention as soon as possible:

  • If your iPhone is unlocked, you will receive notifications on your iPhone instead of on your watch.
  • If your iPhone is locked or asleep and your watch is unlocked (regardless of whether the watch screen is asleep or awake) and on your wrist, you will receive notifications on your watch.
  • If your watch is locked or has Do Not Disturb enabled, notifications will go to your iPhone.

I am having the same issue. I set up my watch as a new device and it appeared fixed for a few days but is not back to not giving me any notifications. The only thing that has changed is that I updated both of the operating systems to the same ones that you described. I submitted this problem to Apple so that they know it is going on. I am also going to contact them via chat to see if there is anything they suggest. I will let you know if I get any help!
