I can’t believe we are still trying to solve this blatant and fundamental bug!? Isn’t there someone from Apple here!? What is the point of this forum? Obviously not for any real problems with Apple products because they expect us to solve each others problems But when the issue is a system issue, they are nowhere to be seen. So annoying.
HI,
Apple supply the web space and the Hosts to make sure the rules are adhered to.
More recently Community Specialists were added so that each and every post was supposed to get a reply.
In most cases a forum will run at a posting speed that is about 1 page a day. Community Specialists pick up on those that fall off the "front" pages so to speak. In faster areas of Posting the "front" pages tends to be the marker they use.
Community Specialists will post links to Apple Documents and help items without posting a direct answer.
The Terms of Use Doc is here Apple Support Communities Use Agreement that the Hosts work by.
One view is that the Communities are one big research base which has an element of truth about it.

I would like to join in on the bug report but when I click on the link it's taking me to a login page where I'm unable to log in. It says "Apple ID doesn't exist", even though I'm currently logged in the apple account.
I don't know, may be because a few years years ago i joined apple developer programm? ( https://developer.apple.com/programs/ )
Now my Developer Program Membership has expired, but i still have a developer account and despite the fact that the membership in the program has expired I managed to create a bug report.
Well, 10.13.3 and still no change.
It is amazing how basic features specific to macOS are not working ok.
Don't people at Apple use this? Like don't they make calls using the macbook ? Does not bother them not being able ANYMORE to move the call window? ...
Amazing ...
Yeah, that is one of the things that does not make any sense to me. How are these people going on with their every day lives with FaceTime broken? In all honestly, it was probably filed as a bug internally a long time ago. Might be a bug with another system entirely and not FaceTime actual. I think the update that broke FaceTime brought a lot of weird bugs with it that is affecting a lot of apps differently. Might be a while before they figure out what to do. Would be nice if someone had an actual status update.
I was having the same problem and figured out at least one way of hiding it. Pressing the option key while clicking on the upper right corner (for the notifications) will mute the notifications so growl messages don't show up on the screen. Happily, this also hides the call window from sight. Option clicking it again will bring it back.
Now if I could only figure out why all the buttons on said call window no longer work for me...
I have this too, it's absolutely infuriating as I use it to talk to my colleagues while working with Sublime Text, if I have lots of files open in Sublime I can't get to a the tabs without dragging the window down.
This is annoyingly disruptive to my workflow.
I've always chosen Apple because their interface has in the past been a huge step above the rest but these kinds of things are making me look for alternatives.
Same issue here, very annoying and actually harms the ability to use other applications.
Same issue here! I can't work with support technicians because the call window is blocking the menus!
Please correct asap!
It still appears if Notifications is Off.
Only if you make a call, but not when you receive one (a receiving call just goes unnoticed, with it off).
Please make another thread! This is NOT about notifications or other issues.
It is ONLY about not being able to MOVE the Facetime AUDIO window when you are in a call on the macOS High Sierra.
You assume, you think, you believe but are you an apple developer ?
Something is broken, Apple has to fix it - the rest are just technical details and assumptions ...
Open a complaint.
End.
Why an enhancement? And how do you do that? Is it through the same bug reporting interface?
I filed a bug report too... really frustrating indeed! You cannot even navigate the Calendar application in fullscreen mode anymore, during a call!
