After updated the final release of 10.13, I found that I could not turn on FileVault. It says:
"Authentication server failed to complete the requested operation."
MacBook Pro, Mid 2014.
Am I the only person who has this problem 😟

However, it did not resolve my issue. When I use the Disk Utility to First Aid my disk, it showed some errors.
Then, Nothing changed when I tried to turn on the FileVault.

You are not the only one to have this problem, but Apple has not even hinted at a solution to this. It appears they are content to sweep this one under the rug. VERY annoying.
Step it up Apple! Not being able to enable FileVault is a major security risk in today's world and so far it seems you don't care!
I am having the same issue with High Sierra as OuOuO. Can we have more information on this, plz. When I use the Disk Utility to First Aid my disk, it showed identical errors to OuOuO.
