Have there been updates to Boot Camp in High Sierra?
When I update to High Sierra do I need to set up Boot Camp again or are there just some driver updates?
Going to back up both partitions anyway but just wondering.

My Boot Camp with Windows 10 continued working without issue after I updated to High Sierra. But a back up is still a critical step before updating.
What is the year/model of your Mac, BobTheFisherman ? Can you post the output of
diskutil list
For non-EFI (BIOS) installations, I expect the hybrid MBR to be modified.
Can you also post the output of
sudo fdisk /dev/disk0
There should be a patch pretty soon. Did you upgrade or run a clean install?
You need a new Bootcamp.exe which understands APFS to be able to switch to macOS. Check Apple Software Update, but do not apply any available updates, yet!
I'm stuck in Windows. Rebooting with the alt key doesn't seem to do anything. Is it just the alt key?
It is Alt/Option, which is usually the same key.
I am having the same problem on my MacBook air.
One "option/alt" key problem can be from pressing the key too soon. Try waiting until halfway through the chime sound. My 2015 MacBook Pro can be pretty finicky about that timing.
I'm having a problem with Boot Camp Assistant. It crashes everytime I click continue as well...
Hello Dari.hayward, see my post below yours. Just reformat your usb key with disk utility use ms DOS (fat 32). Works for me.
Run a SMC/NVRAM Reset and test BCA.
When I run Boot Camp Assistant in High Sierra, it aborts as soon as I click Continue. I'm unable to install Windows 10 in my empty partition.
Does BCA work in High Sierra?
Yes. Please disconnect all external storage and hubs, and connect a USB2 flash drive, only when prompted by BCA. Disconnect any Time Machine storage as well.
