iOS 11 Bluetooth turn on automatically

Hi. Apple has a new concept for Bluetooth and WiFi, as described in this link: Use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi in Control Center with iOS 11 - Apple Support. Basically, the Control Center controls now only turn things off temporarily. Use Settings to turn them off completely.

Mine will not only turn on in the car, it randomly turns on during the day, even if I'm no where near my car. This is killing my battery and I have to keep my phone on the charger for a majority of the day. I've tried through settings as well, and it still happens. This is so frustrating!

More than once a Bluetooth speaker in my room has connected in the middle of the night to the quiet music I have playing from my phone. My bluetooth was not on and it plays as loud as possible. I honestly have no idea why the ‘geniuses’ at Apple would think it is helpful to be jolted up at 2 am by my speakers blaring

Or at least get your shirt together and give us a way to stop it from happening

Agreed, what a ridiculous feature. Just because Apple created it, doesn't mean I blindly want it. Consider the ramifications of feckless and ill-conceived feature. I now turn off my phone completely at night and start it in the morning. Also the security ramifications of transmitting a BT signal everywhere I go... surely someone at Apple goes to Blackhat. Someone's IOS phone always gets hacked because BlueTooth is transmitting. It might solve one issue around ease of use to enable BlueTooth constantly, but it creates a whole host of others.

Yes, but besides manually restarting with it turned back on this unwanted “ magic” happens randomly as well on my brand new stupidly expensive 10.5 Pro. This and the still missing artist pics in Itunes - broken for two years now- is why I’ve diverged into purchasing other manufactures products. As a matter of fact the only Apple products I own that are working 100% as expected are my old iPad 4 running iOS 6 - except safari- and my iPhone 4s running same OS. That iphone is 4 times the speed in everything vs my IPhone 6!

@Apple, people are buying products that aren’t yours because you changed this ability to turn Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on and off from the control center. It’s time to fix this and give us back what we want. The consumers here are speaking.

Same that happening to me .mine is mercedes benz A class. But this will happen only the day once when u start the car first time ,after that the whole day i need to turn on the bluetooth manually .i like this new feature 👍-1F3FB;

Turning Bluetooth off at settings hasn't been successful in disabling the automatic on feature for me. When ever I enter my vehicle it turns on and then syncs.

Did they ever figure this out? I was late to work this morning because my blue tooth is turning on at night and draining my battery!! I’m so tired of this, Apple!

Forgot to mention, turning it off in settings does nothing. Look later and your Bluetooth is on again, like magic.

Hi Forgotten Rebel. Restarting iOS now turns Bluetooth on. So, if you normally turn your iPad off (power off, not sleep), it will start with Bluetooth on. No magic required.

Apple recommended, huh? I don't want Bluetooth on automatically. And going to Settings to turn it off is a multi-step process. Big pain.

i too vote to remove this automatic switch on feature. big pain and battery drain:)
