Merge two MP4 files with iMovie 10

Unless I am misunderstanding you this is very straightforward to do. Import your two MP4 files into iMovie. Create a project and add them to the timeline. Share your project to file. You will have a merged MP4 file at the location to which you shared.

Put both vids in an iMovie 10 project timeline, and share out the project as a file to your desktop. The two clips will then be merged into one movie that you can drag back into iMovie if you desire.
