Where does eBay say that? I know many eBay sellers and members will say that, but I see nowhere that eBay Inc. does so.
Carriers, retailers and manufacturers do not make their imei lists publicly available, so no private web site can possible have access to the data they claim they do.
Imeipro cannot know one dang thing about iCloud and the activation lock status of any iPhone or iPad. The only way to know a device’s Activation Lock status would be to use Apple’s patented and proprietary activation process on the device itself and query Apple’s secure iCloud servers. Apple does not allow outside access to any of that secure and private data.
Activation Lock has nothing to do with the device imei number.
You are asking for technical support. Call them and tell them you only want to know the activation lock/carrier lock status on your iPhone. Or make an appointment at your nearest Apple Store.
There are no checkers that have direct access to Apple's servers. I would not trust any of them. Call Apple directly.

No.
Did you contact Apple to check the status?
well, ebay staff said it. I sold an iphone 6s water damaged on ebay, i deleted the device on my account before doing it, so i know that icloud and find my iphone is off.
Imeipro is saying that find my iphone is still on, and the buyer opened a case based only on that, 18 days after delivery.
Ebay is saying now that i need to refund the buyer because imeipro stated that find my iphone is on.
I think its absolute non sense, but what do i know.
How can i do it? Only find ways to contact Apple about technical support...
I know that, but try to explain it to ebay staff, it look like i am talking to brainless machines.
The buyer just received the phone, was not able to repair it and now wants to have is money back, end of story.
And this was stated to the buyer before sell was made!! Ebay staff stll saying that buyer is right anyway.
This is weird, Ebay is taking position that any imei checkers are reliable and they can access Apple database to check imei numbers! Well, i guess they know better.
