Mail won't stop checking for mail - IOS 11.0
I updated my iPhone 6 to IOS 11.0 and now mail won't stop checking for mail. Can anyone explain what I should do
It appears tonight’s Apple update 11.0.1 fixed this issue

Could you add some additional detail? Do you mean when you are using Safari it is still checking mail? What type of mail account do you have?
But what type of mail account do you have? POP3? IMAP? Who is your mail provider? What kind of connection are you using?
I’m using Mail on my iPhone. Nothing to do with Safari.
When I select the IN box the words “checking mail ...” appear at the bottom of the screen and never goes away.
This issue started after my latested update to IOS 11.0.
I’m using Apple’s program called “Mail”
