Shuffle in ios 11 music

Recently, I faced the same problem. Called up Apple Support in India (since I'm from there) and after trying one or two tricks, we finally decided to go ahead and reset all settings. Once you do this, you will see a 'SHUFFLE' and 'REPEAT' option at the bottom of the NOW PLAYING screen and these buttons can now be used to adjust one's preferences.

No data or media or apps were lost in the process.

Apple Music plays all songs within an Album or Playlist in the designated order and for particular people like ourselves, that's a huge relief!

Just thought I'd let you know since you had posted the problem.

The shuffle button from the playlist does not turn it off, you must access it from the now playing screen by swiping up.

Not really. What I was looking for was to shuffle all songs. Go to Library - Playlists - Purchased - Shuffle.

It's ludicrous that Apple has made the Music app so friggin complicated. The fact I had to Google search how to stop repeat and shuffle is so against Apple's core belief of keeping things simple. I miss Steve Jobs.

In the iOS 11 Music app when I swipe up I get nothing. Hitting the shuffle tile only advances the shuffle. Is there really no way to listen to an album as the artist intended in iOS 11? Some supporter of music you are Apple.

Thanks that was the key & I just could remember how to do it with iPhone X having the swipe up as the home page. I got it now & thank you. All these others were incorrect.

Still have not figured out how to fix the shuffle issue. The “swipe up” function does not do it. Any suggestions?

What?

Didn't work for me. This has been driving me insane. When I swipe up and down it does nothing. I can make it forward or repeat easily but doesn't shuffle just repeats despite no repeat being on.

Thank you. Really odd that someone has to to what you suggested to overcome the problem. Not Apple style indeed...
