I was told (By apple purchasing) that the fastest way to get it is to pre-order and pick up in store. I was guaranteed that if I did that they would have my phone there at my appointment time. They said the walk-ins would not be guaranteed. If you are in no hurry to get it then have it shipped to you. You can skip all the lines too.

It really won't make a difference whether you want to pick up in-store or have it delivered. One way over the other doesn't increase your chances of getting one on launch day. Your order is placed in queue as it's placed at the moment you place it. It's highly probable Apple will sell out of iPhone X quickly when pre-orders open at 12.01 AM PST on October 27th. And as orders continue to be placed, approximate delivery dates will be what people will see. At that point, one would not know when they'll get their iPhone until their status changes to preparing to ship and then shipped.
If you don't place an order, it will be virtually impossible to get one on launch day, period. I fully expect there to be much angst over the orders of iPhone X. There simply won't be enough stock available to start. And from what I've been reading, it could take weeks to months to catch production up to demand.
If you want to stand inline, go for it. I did it once and it was fun, as my local Apple store fed us throughout the day while we waited to get our phones. I did it once, but now I just have them shipped to me, since it doesn't make any difference.
preorder get it for sure. wait in line may not get at all. preordering and making an appointment is the quickest way to get it.
As we've said, camp out without a reservation and you'll surely go home empty-handed. Even with a pre-order, there is absolutely no guarantee that when your order goes in the system, you'll get yours on launch day.
If you do not preorder and just show up you may not get one. if you preorder you will get one.
So which one do you think I should do since if I do camp out I was planning to do in-store pick up and camp just incase ( I was gonna camp from 5 since it opens at 10) or should I do delivery since I'm really wanting it to get to me launch day so would it be quicker in-store pickup or delivery
I'm sorry I'm kinda a goof what do you mean the walk in aren't a guarantee?
Okay thank you:) I'm getting sliver since I like it more and don't think it will sell out as fast let's hope they have enough
Please be sure to let others know that this issue is solved so you don't continue to get responses.
Should I do pre order delivery or pre order pick up for the iPhone X?
