OSX 10.4 as an FTP Client

I haven't used macs in awhile and I'm not familiar with the networking option in it. I noticed I can access my website server through it but it will not let me update-like a FTP client. Can you use a Mac OSX 10.4 as an FTP client????

Mac Book, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Unfortunately it's Read Only at the Moment, you need a 3rd party one for Writing.:-(

There's plenty to choose from on Macupdate.com, or Versiontracker... I use TransmitX myself, but I think CyberDuck is Frre and popular.

or you could be a nerd and use the comman line client 🙂

Also as an aside... if your web server has has webDAV installed you can use that instead of ftp... just hit command k and do http://serveraddress
