What does the little clock on an app mean in the new dock on iPad and how do I shut it off?

I cannot stand it for the same reasons. The dock is too slow and I keep opening the wrong app. Very frustrating! has anyone found a fix yet?

Any fixes on this? It is REALLY annoying.

Don’t know which is the worst: the icon with the clock, or the you-can’t-put-it-off feature.

Yup. apple’s own version of The Song That Never Ends.

It was gone and now it is back.

I removed the files app from the dock. The suggest app disappeared and came back in 2 seconds.

I tried that months ago and again when it appeared again.

No dice.

That’s what finally got mine off my iPad, too. Really wish Apple had left us with instructions for this kind of stuff.😐

Thanks for this, It worked for me and it also stops apps appearing in the dock with the headphone symbol.

I had the same question. I’m glad you asked about it so I could find this thread. I think you should try the Turing Test on Storm. That would be entertaining. Hahaha

I hate this new dock. Do you know how annoying it is that it loads slow and you keep hitting the wrong app? I’ve even tried turning off Siri completely.
