Where is the horizontal scroll bar on 10.1.7? I cannot reduce the size of my iMovie screen (cannot get to the corners and thus cannot see the bottom section under the audio clips where the horizontal scroll bar has usually shown up).

Answering my own question here - after much messing about I went up to "window " in the menu bar and hit zoom and voila I now have a grey scroll bar again - Am I going mad! Sorry to have troubled y'all!

You possibly could be in the Media browser screen view, in which case you won't see the horizontal scroll bar. Try opening a project and see if you can see the scroll bar in project time line view. If this is not the issue, send a screen shot of your whole screen to show us what you are seeing.

You can resize any window by dragging the sides of the window, Since Yosemite you do not need to drag the resin corners, dragging the sides will do.
Thanks for your reply and I understand that and that is OK left to right but I need to shrink the height of the window so I can see the horizontal scroll bar - right now the vertical height of iMovie it is filling my screen (while not actually on "full screen" and I cannot see the very bottom of the screen where the horizontal scroll bar is located.
When I am in My Media is where I am having the problem - the only way I can move my clips along (for instance in order to insert a clip etc) the only way I can move it is to place my cursor right in the far corners of the screen and it will move it very fast to the left or right. Usually I have used the grey horizontal scroll bar to move to a specific place on the timeline. I just don't know what I am doing wrong - "it was working fine the other day!"
