Carplay not found on iphone 8

I just purchased an iphone 8 and carplay is not located anywhere on my phone. I upgraded from a 6 and it worked fine on that one. I asked Siri and she can't find it either! Halp!

There is no actual CarPlay App. Connect the phone to your CarPlay equipped vehicle, and follow steps displayed there.

I found it! You have to go and enable CarPlay under restrictions, and it will pop up in the normal spot under Settings>general.

I did restart the car and phone and it automatically came up.

This does not work. I made sure I updated to 11.01 and used the cord it came with. It does not come up. Is not showing in settings>general>carplay either like my 6 does. It seems like I would at least see it in the settings in case I wanted to add a car..

did you find a solution to this? I just got an 8 yesterday and, like you, no carplay option in General.. I use carplay daily, so I'm hoping to figure this out.

I’ve got a 8+ in a 2017 GMC and no carplay connection.

Siri says she can’t make that adjustment.

Worked fine with my 6S!

Let get a bite in it Apple?
