I have the Apple Watch 1st generation size 42 and recently tried the 38" over the weekend at Apple Store but it's hard to really determine at store with many people around etc. lol. So will I get charged a 10% restock fee if I want to exchange for 42"?
Awesome thanks Team Apple support. I am so excited and very likely going to keep the 38" since the 42" gets into the way with desktop keyboard typing at times. Thanks again.

Depending on your country and from where (eg Apple Online Store, Apple Authorised Reseller) you bought your Apple Watch, your purchase may not be eligible for return due to you changing your mind or you may be charged a restocking fee.
For more information, check the seller's policy or ask them directly.
If you purchased from Apple and returns are not normally allowed or restocking fees normally apply in your country, then I'm afraid that no-one here can tell you what Apple will decide.

Why don't you try the different sizes in an Apple Store first.
Normally you have 15 days to return it.
