How do I transfer my email to my new phone from my old iPhone

Email is not part of the backup. You add the mail accounts to the new phone, and that will restore your mail, unless you are using a POP mail account. In that case, your mail is deleted from the server, and is just present on the old device.

If you go to the location I provided, do you see your AOL account listed there? If it is listed there, then the account is there. It should show up in Mail when you open mail. As far as the content of your mail account, that will depend on the type of account as I indicated earlier.

Where you are transferring them from? What email provider?
