disable notification centre in high sierra

THIS below does not work... any ideas?

How this disables Notification Center

launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.notificationcenterui.plist

killall NotificationCenter

How this re-enables Notification Center

launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.notificationcenterui.plist

open /System/Library/CoreServices/NotificationCenter.app/

Okay so I actually did it.

Now after the restart I used this command: launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.notificationcenterui.plist. This killed the notification centre. Then I used a program called CleanMyMac to uninstall notification centre. On your destktop hit: SHIFT+CMD+G this will bring up a search: type: /System/Library/CoreServiecsHere is the Notification Centre app. I did right click, services, uninstall with cleanmymac. If you don't have claenmymac you can just drag it to the trash. Delete it restart and the notification centre is gone only it's icon remains in the corner.IMPORTANT: this might allow malware and viruses to permanently damage your computer!!!The only way to do this safely is to save all your data on an external. Reinstall the system and wipe your hdd. Clean, out of the store reset. Now when you launch the computer for the first time, don't even connect to the internet!!! Disable, uninstall, reenable. How to do the clean install http://fieldguide.gizmodo.com/make-your-mac-feel-like-new-again-with-a-fresh-ins tall-1697926482I recommend doing this. I have a macbook air late 2010 and the notification centre just killed it. Now that I disabled it it runs smooth. It takes a lot of RAM. If you don't want to do this process just click on Not. Centre, edit on the bottom and remove all the crappy add-ons like stock that always refreshes in the background and in the preferences disable all apps that you don't need. + you can put in in do not disturb mode so it won't try to eat your ram. Hope it helps.DONT FORGET TO REANABLE THE SYSTEM PROTECTION. And no wifi until you are done.

It says: Operation not permitted while System Integrity Protection is engaged

So I disabled that: How to Disable System Integrity Protection on a Mac (and Why You Shouldn’t)
After the restart it worked I was able to type in the command. However the killall NotificationCentre command didn't work. So I restarted to enable the System integrity protection but then the notification centre appeared again. So the way to go somehow is through disabling that protection but I don't know how to make the disable permanent for the Not. Centre. Perhaps you can just uninstall the notification centre app in Library/Core services/Notification Centre but I haven't tried that one I kind of rather have it suck my ram. I don't know if uninstalling would work or would do any harm.

Yup, this is frustrating for me too. I have an iPhone, an iPad and 3 Macs. Each device is for a specific list of uses. Apple pushing Messages notifications to a work machine where I don't even have a profile connected to the Messages app is presumptuous, and poor manners.

Apple, you know who sends me messages?
I didn't think so.

Why "texting from a desktop" is in any way essential is beyond me. Maybe on Snapchat will become an essential the upcoming release of "Distracted Sierra."
