iOS 11.0.1 iPad the dock auto hide home screen!

Hi. Not sure what you mean, or what you're seeing. The dock does not hide on the Home screen. It's always there and cannot be changed. It hides when you open an app, but you can swipe up to interact with it.

Please describe exactly what you're trying to do, and what happens when you try.

I rebooted the iPad and the doc stopped autohide on home screen. No idea why.

You can do it by resetting home screen layout option in settings > general > reset . Hope this helps.

The dock is not supposed to autohide on the home screen but mine just started doing it as well. Now I cannot even add apps to the dock because as soon as I tap away from the dock it disappears, on the home screen. I tried resetting that home screen app layout and all that did was mess up all my customization of my apps but did not fix the docking problem. Is this perhaps a glitch with IOS 11?

It would be nice if we had the choice to autohide the dock, switching autohide on and off easily when we needed to.

I'm a Linux user, Mac user and Windows user. The previous for-mentioned platforms allow this. Since Apple have decided to put a dock in IOS 11 this platform should be no different.

My dock icons are half missing. I tried everything to fix. I do not want to erase my iPad and lose everything. I don’t have enough iCloud storage to save everything. Apple is really going down hill these days!
