Random Play Order of Photos in Slideshow

With El Capitan and Sierra it seemed to work, to select all photos in an album and then to create a slideshow from the selection, but in High Sierra I am also getting random results, even with the classic Theme selected.

If you really need a fixed order of your photos in the slideshow, start the slideshow from the album by ctrl-cicking or right-clicking the album, then use "Play slideshow".

If you create your slideshow in Keynote instead of in Photos, you have more control over the sequence of slides, and you can export the slideshow as a video.

However, presenting a slideshow is much easier, if you do not reduce it to a video. if your audience wants to see the certain slides for a longer time, or want to go back to certain slides, it is difficult to find them in a video,

This does work but the point is it ONLY plays the slideshow it does not give you an option to save the slideshow. Like CharPatton I selected images from within an album to create a slideshow of just those images, which I then want to export as a m4v or Quicktime movie to later burn on to a DVD.

Under the previous version the slides are added to the slideshow in the order they are sorted in within the album but with the new version of Photos they are added in a random order.

Another brilliant implementation of Photos. Do I want to see the slides in the order I selected or in a scrambled hodgepodge. Hmm.... Also if I play direct from album I seem to be able to select only one song. It is December and this is still not fixed! I wanted to play a slideshow via Apple TV for some friends showing a trip in chronological order rather than Apple order in their alternate universe. I also would like to create my own Photo Memories...not the one Apple decides for me. Are they monitoring my trips and photos?

Yup that was the first thing I did..contact Apple Feedback/Apparently this issue has been going on for months/ I got a reply from a Forum Moderator directing me to an iPhotos Slideshow article about creating slideshows...iPhoto has been defunct for several years now and apparently this issue is a High Sierra one and yes it is in PHOTOS. Progress has been slow in improving PHOTOS in my opinion.

Hmmm...creating a Slideshow in Keynote versus saving as a video file in iTunes..... .I want to be able to easily play on Apple TV. We should not have to work around the limitations of Apple glitch in slideshow production.
